Please ensure that the app is set according to your custom (minhag). Eighteen minutes before Sunset (Shkiah) is the default Candle Lighting Zman, but some minhagim differ. You can customize all the Zmanim according to your minhag.

As with all Halachic Zmanim apps, it is advisable not to rely on the times down to the last moment.
